Summary: Introduction: Dengue is a viral disease that presents itself as an important public health problem worldwide. In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of notified dengue cases in the southeastern region of Brazil, especially in Espírito Santo. Suspected or confirmed cases of dengue should be reported in the Notifiable Diseases Information System - SINAN. The data inserted in this system represent an important source of information for epidemiological studies and for the evaluation of service quality. Thus, in order to meet an institutional demand to assess the completeness of the data in the dengue notification forms from the Municipality of Fundão, a quantitative study was carried out and later it was proposed to develop an online course and an Epidemiological Bulletin for the County. This project is in line with the research line organization and evaluation of health care systems and seeks to meet the resolution of the completeness and quality of the data inserted in the dengue notification forms. Objectives: To analyze the data quality of the dengue notification forms informed in SINAN, regarding the completeness of the fields; create a proposal for an online course on Epidemiological Surveillance of dengue and prepare an Epidemiological Bulletin of dengue for the municipality of Fundão-ES. Method: This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, composed of all dengue cases notified between 2007 and 2015 in the municipality of Fundão-ES, registered with SINAN. The absolute number and percentage of failure to fill in the key, mandatory and essential variables of the dengue notification forms were analyzed. In order to assess the degrees of non-completeness, the score proposed by Romero and Cunha was adopted. Spearman´s non-parametric linear correlation coefficient (rs) and its p-value were calculated. The use of the nonparametric coefficient was preceded by the verification of the data distribution using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. Results / Products: 715 dengue notifications were evaluated and it was evidenced that the proportion of ignored / blank information was high for most of the variables on the dengue card, mainly for the essential ones. The results found indicated that the tendencies of non-completion over the years were decreasing and statistically significant for some variables. To solve the problems identified, two products were developed: first, an online course proposal was created for health professionals on the Epidemiological Surveillance of dengue composed of four modules, resulting in 60 hours of total workload. In addition, an Epidemiological Bulletin of dengue was prepared for better dissemination of information and guidelines for measures to control the disease in the municipality. Conclusion: The quality of the data was mostly classified as regular and very poor, making it essential to establish strategies in the process of training health teams to raise awareness and awareness of the importance of quality in the registration of compulsory notifications. Thus, this research has the potential to generate impact at the local level with the dissemination of the Epidemiological Bulletin and impact at the local, regional and even national level, as it is a comprehensive course that will change the work process of the municipalities, regarding awareness the importance of the completeness and quality of the data in the dengue notification forms. The products were registered with the Copyright Office of the National Library Foundation. The Epidemiological Bulletin was made available by the municipality´s electronic means and the online course will be evaluated together with Telessaúde Espírito Santo and will be made available online and free of charge to health professionals.
