Summary: Introduction: Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is defined as the death of cardiomyocytes due to prolonged ischemia. This study deals with the elaboration of the terminological subset of the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP®) specific to assist the person affected by AMI. Thus, seeking to meet a demand of the pre-hospital emergency care service in which the master's student works, it was proposed to develop this assistive technology, as it is one of the strategies for organizing nursing care in the face of situations WHERE there is a need to implement care for critically ill and potentially serious patients. This work is in line with the research line “caring in nursing in the human development process” and seeks to contemplate the demand for implementing the Nursing Process in the pre-hospital environment of urgency and emergency. Objectives: to develop and validate the terminological subset of the International Classification for Nursing Practice - ICNP® for people with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Method: Methodological study that followed the guidelines of the International Nurses Council and used the Life Activities Model of Roper, Logan and Tierney to elaborate the subset. Content validation was performed by 22 specialist nurses. Result: Of the 44 diagnoses / results elaborated, 77.27% reached Content Validity Index (CVI) ≥ 0.80 and of the 128 proposed interventions, 44.53% reached CVI ≥ 0.80. At the end, the subset was composed of 34 diagnoses / results and 68 nursing interventions. An unprecedented product called “ICNP® Terminological Subset for the Person Affected by Acute Myocardial Infarction” was developed and this could be a facilitating strategy for the implementation of the Nursing Process in the pre-hospital environment. Conclusion: The terminology subset CIPE®, product of this research, is a useful tool in the investigation of the signs and symptoms that affect a person with AMI and in the assistance of nurses in the area of urgency and emergency assisting them in critical thinking and decision making . This research has the potential to generate impact and be applied at the local, regional and national level because it contributes to direct the actions of nursing professionals in any places that provide care to patients with AMI, promoting greater quality to nursing care. The terminology subset validated by specialists, configures greater reliability to the product, being freely available to nurses from all over Brazil on the website of the Graduate Program for Professional Master's in Nursing at Ufes, and can be used mainly in local references in the care of patients with suspicion or confirmation of AMI.
