Summary: Renal replacement therapies are a particular challenge for use in neonates. This research arises from several gaps on the subject experienced in practice, which involved the lack of exclusive equipment and protocols for this target audience. It followed the research line of the institution and evaluation of health care systems and sought to meet the care demand by developing tools that could provide safe care to neonates on peritoneal dialysis and assist nursing in their work process. Objective: To develop technologies aimed at peritoneal dialysis in neonates. Methodology: This is an applied research for technological development, with a participatory approach, following the next steps: Step 1: A questionnaire was prepared and validated to analyze the gaps on the theme Peritoneal dialysis in the neonate through a qualitative descriptive study with specialist in Brazil. Step 2: From the gaps in the research with the specialists, a narrative review and survey of nursing diagnoses/interventions was developed through cross mapping. Step 3: Development of technologies Results/Products: 6 products were obtained. Product 01 is an article with a result of the Gap Analysis research on the theme: "Peritoneal dialysis in the neonate". Product 2 is a narrative review of dialysis in the neonate. Product 3 is an assistance guide for prescribing care for neonates on peritoneal dialysis based on the Classification of Nursing Interventions, which was developed from cross-mapping. Product 04 is an expert validated Neonatal Peritoneal Dialysis Safety Checklist. Product 5 is a design of a peritoneal dialysis system using the TRIZ methodology and product 06 is an article about the application of the TRIZ methodology for the development of the design of a peritoneal dialysis system. Conclusion: The developed products aim to contribute to nursing care that provides more patient safety, reducing potential or unnecessary damage to the newborn undergoing health care. They are expected to facilitate, standardize and guide clinical nursing practice for neonates on peritoneal dialysis, advocating safety in care.
